Sacred Heart School Gala honors 100th anniversary

     Final plans are coming together for the annual Sacred Heart School Holiday Gala. The event takes place Saturday, Nov. 19. The theme this year is “Cheers to 100 Years.” Sacred Heart School opened in September 1922.

   This year, the school is celebrating the 100^th anniversary of education at Sacred Heart School in Monticello. This is an amazing milestone and they could not have reached it without the community’s support. The welcome all the loyal supporters, former students, and staff of Sacred Heart School to the annual Holiday Gala. It is important to RSVP early. Seating is limited.

   They will also have the following events for alumni:

   • Friday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m. Informal meet and greet with snacks at the Monticello Golf Club

   • Saturday, Nov. 19, 3 to 3:45 p.m. Open House at Sacred Heart School

   • Nov. 19, 4 p.m. Mass by Archbishop Jackels at Sacred Heart Church

   • Nov. 19, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sacred Heart Gala happy hour at Berndes Center

   • 7 p.m. Dinner served, with live auction to follow

   • A DJ will follow the live auction

   Many hours of planning and hard work have gone into this event, which plays a major role in the financial operations of Sacred Heart School. Income generated is crucial to carrying out the school’s mission. This lively and fun event is an opportunity for families and friends of Sacred Heart School to celebrate the presence, vitality, and tradition of Catholic education in the community.

   Sacred Heart classes are working on special projects that will be auctioned off at the Gala.

   The community’s generosity allows Sacred Heart School to continue their tradition of providing students with a Christ-centered education, focused on rigorous academics, service to others, and faith-driven leadership. Sacred Heart students take pride in providing community service in a variety of ways.

   Sacred Heart School families and staff are grateful to everyone who has provided generous support for this event in previous years. You can continue that support for the students by attending the Gala, donating an auction item, a monetary donation, or volunteering your time at the event. Donors will be listed in the parish bulletin each week before the Gala, on social media, and in the auction booklet that will be available at the Gala.
