Save our country; vote for Grassley and Miller-Meeks

   We need to re-elect Senator Charles Grassley and Rep. Marionette Miller-Meeks. Both of these members of Congress have the wisdom and willingness to turn our country around and save it from the continuing disastrous consequences of Democratic Party rule.

   One of the worst consequences to happen to our country, due to Democratic rule, is inflation. Inflation was triggered when our illegitimate president, Joe Biden, who vowed to end fossil fuels, began a full-scale attack on the fossil fuel industry. We were energy independent, indeed energy dominant, under President Trump. Gasoline prices were low under Trump. The Committee to Unleash Prosperity found that between 2 and 3 million more barrels of oil would be produced each day and another 20 to 25 billion cubic feet of natural gas would be produced each year if Trump energy policies had remained in effect.

   But Biden’s actions on fracking, oil and gas leases, and offshore drilling ensured our energy industry would be crushed. This, along with the message that the federal government hated our energy industry, ensured that energy prices spiked upwards.

   When energy prices spiked up, so did the costs of transporting goods and, therefore, the costs of those goods went up. Then the Democrats in Congress added fuel to the inflationary fire by reckless spending. It has been said that inflation is caused by too many dollars chasing after too few goods. Well, the Democrats ensured that more government dollars were chasing available goods.

   Incredibly, the Biden Administration sought to fight gas price inflation by draining our national fuel reserves. These reserves were intended only to be used for war or fuel emergencies caused by hurricanes or other natural disasters. Trump filled them up with cheap oil. Now Biden is orchestrating the largest reduction of our reserves in history to temporarily and minimally reduce gas prices, a price reduction that is now ending.

   Once again, the Democratic leadership seems to be intent on destroying our country.

   Chuck Grassley is one of the two farmers in the U.S. Senate. Congresswoman Miller-Meeks also represents a largely rural district. They will take action to reduce government spending and fight inflation, something that cannot be hoped for from the Democrats.

   Indeed, the Democrat candidate for Senate, Mike Franken, is on videotape claiming that the President and Congress have no role in fighting inflation.

   The Democrat candidate for the First District in the House of Representatives, Christina Bohannon, has a TV commercial when she claims that the oil companies, not the insane Democrat “green new deal,” “end fossil fuels” policies, are to blame for higher gas prices. She blames “price gougers” for inflation. I guess “price gougers” did not exist before the Biden Administration! She’s out of touch with reality.

   Vote for Sen. Chuck Grassley and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks for sane policies that will save our country!
