Schlarmann serves the school district, community well

Letter to the Editor

To the Editor,

I have had the pleasure of working with John Schlarmann for the past three years on the school board. John is a very kind and patient person who strives to take the time to listen and consider all sides of what is being discussed. We were both fortunate enough to be able to be part of the bond and the building of the new middle school.

During this time, he asked several questions and voiced thoughts about budgets, taxes, and necessities verses later options. During the project, when things were needing to be added/omitted, questions were asked but never were corners allowed to be cut just to save a buck.

The new school is just one good item off the list over the years.

With serving the community and having people with different views, we all know that there are unpleasant conversations that come into play. John is very easy to work with and always willing to hear and give time for your side. With John, your ideas and perspective are important. I feel he has done a great job serving the Monticello Community School District, serving as this year’s school board president and bringing to the table ideas and opinions that others hadn’t thought of.

I have no doubt that John will serve the citizens of Jones County well! With that said, I ask you to vote for John Schlarmann for Jones County Supervisor.
