Scholarship recipient

Monticello High School senior Jeff Carlson was recipient of the Iowa Bankers Association Student Athlete Achievement Award Scholarship. Carlson, a member of the state tournament-qualifying Panther boys basketball team, received a $1,000 scholarship as a graduating senior who possesses strong scholastic, leadership and citizenship skills. He was scheduled to receive the award at the State Boys Basketball Tournament, but the ceremony was cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus. (Express file photo)
