School District Foundation sets 16th annual golf tourney

The 16th annual Monticello School District Foundation Golf Tournament, named in memory of Richmond Kromminga, will be Sunday, May 20, starting at noon at the Monticello Golf Club.

Originally scheduled a day earlier, the tournament has been moved to the Sunday date.

The 18-hole, four-person, best-shot tournament will begin with a shotgun start. There will be cash prizes awarded for championship and runner-up flights, as well as prizes for specific hole contests such as longest putt, longest drive and closest to the pin.

All profits from the event will be added to the principal of the MSDF perpetual fund, which generates interest that is used to meet grant requests for various school programs, technology and/or material needs not provided for in the general school budget.

Those interested in entering a team, sponsoring a hold or providing prizes may contact Phil Hanna, 319-480-0929; Steve Williams, 319-431-9825; or Creighton Randolph, 319-480-2741.
