Senior Dining seeks new site in Monticello

     Jones County Senior Dining is in need of a new home to serve senior citizens in Monticello.

     Director Lisa Tallman said although they do not know yet when they can re-open the dining sites throughout the county due to COVID-19, Senior Dining is still delivering meals to the senior population of Jones County.

     “We’re still doing as we were,” said Tallman of continuing their service and checking in on the senior population.

     The new senior site in Monticello does not need to be a large space, but provide plenty of room for people to have their noon meal, congregate, and socialize.

     “We just need a site for folks to hang out and get together,” said Tallman.

     Some kitchen space would also be needed.

     When on-site service is allowed to resume, Senior Dining meets Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
