Seventh-grade teams tip off

     The Monticello seventh-grade girls basketball team opened its season Monday, Oct. 30 at Northeast of Goose Lake.

     The Monticello Red team won 26-4, and Monticello White lost 30-6.

     On Nov. 2, the teams traveled to Bellevue. The Red team was defeated 16-8, and the White team lost 14-4.

     Monticello had its home opener Nov. 3, and split two games, with the Red winning 31-11 and the White losing 26-15.

     The Red team has started the year 2-1, and the White team is 0-3.
