Sheriff's Report

     A two-vehicle accident took place on March 1 at 1:08 a.m. in the parking lot of Karde’s 151 in Monticello. A 2000 Dodge Dakota was parked legally in the parking lot when Tylor Dean Boheman, 21, of Monticello, driving a 2007 Saturn Aura attempted to back out of the lot. Boheman baked into the parked vehicle repeatedly before leaving the scene. He was stopped by law enforcement on S. Main Street and arrested for OWI and failure to maintain control. The incident was witnessed by sheriff’s deputies already on scene and the driver of the parked car. Both vehicles sustained an estimated $2,000 in damages. No injuries were reported.
