Sheriff's Report

     A single-vehicle accident took place on March 14 at 10:58 a.m. on Highway 151. Camden Alexander Knupp, 20, of Middleton, Wis., was driving a 2019 Toyota C-HR southbound when he was changing lanes and lost control of his vehicle due to slush on the roadway. Knupp entered the west ditch, hitting some trees before it came to rest in a cornfield. No injuries were reported. Knupp’s vehicle sustained approximately $1,500 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on March 13 at 7 p.m. on County Road X-44/Amber Road. Paul Gordon Swanson, 68, of Wyoming was driving a 2007 Jeep Cherokee when he encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Swanson’s vehicle sustained an estimated $4,000 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on March 15 at 8:04 p.m. on Highway 151. Angela Marie Parmesar, 32, of Anamosa was driving a 2006 Pontiac Torrent when she encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Parmesar’s vehicle sustained an estimated $10,000 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on March 16 at 8:41 p.m. on County Road X-40. Elizabeth Ann Lovell, 18, of Mechanicsville was driving a 2006 Chevy Malibu when she encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Lovell’s vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000 in damages.
