Sheriff's Report

     A two-vehicle accident took place on July 3 at 11:08 a.m. near the intersection of 130th Street and Highway 151. Patrick Joseph Lampe, 55, of Cedar Rapids was driving a 2014 Toyota Avalon Base, traveling north on 151 when a semi pulled out of 130th Street, causing Lampe to stop on the highway. Gary Brian Boland, 56, of Williamsburg, driving a 2014 GMC Sierra K1500, did not see Lampe stopped on the highway. Boland attempted to slow down and read-ended Lampe. No injuries were reported. Lampe’s vehicle sustained $10,000 in damages; while Boland’s vehicle took on $7,000 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on July 1 at 6:38 a.m. near County Road D-65 and Richland Road. Shawna Lee Morris, 40, of Monticello, was driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler when she encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Morris’ vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000 in damages.

     A single-vehicle rollover accident took place on July 4 at 4:53 p.m. on Eagle Road. Kelan James Dickson, 21, of Dubuque was driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma Doublecab when he swerved to miss oncoming traffic. Dickson hit a soft spot in the road, which sucked him into the ditch. The vehicle landed upside down on its top. Dickson was privately transported to UnityPoint Dubuque for his injuries. The vehicle sustained approximately $10,000 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on July 8 at 3:51 a.m. on Highway 151. Angela Sue Wyatt, 48, of Anamosa, was driving a 2009 Ford Fusion when she encountered a deer in the roadway. Wyatt was assisted at the scene by ground EMS. Her vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damages.
