Sheriff's Report

• A motorist from Olin hit a deer Aug. 20. 

A crash report states Nicole Kennedy Power, 21, was driving in the 5000 block of Iowa 38 and struck a deer in the road. 

Damage to Power’s 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee was estimated at $6,000. 

• A deer vs. car incident took place Aug. 12 at 9:44 p.m. 

A crash report states Laney Lynn Otte, 16, of Wyoming, was driving on Iowa 64 when her vehicle collided with a deer in the road. 

Damage to the 2005 Chevrolet Aveo Otte was driving was estimated at $3,000. 

• A car hit a deer on County Highway X40 in June. 

A crash report states Roger Dean Gonzalez, of Anamosa, was driving on the highway at 4:46 a.m. June 27 and hit the animal.

Damage to the 2001 Toyota Tacoma Gonzalez was driving was estimated at $1,500.
