Sheriff's Report

     A three-vehicle accident took place on Sept. 12 at 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of 170th Avenue and 130th Street. Beau Alan Ehrisman, 25, of Monticello was driving a 2012 Ford F250 when he was stopped at a stop sign heading north on 170th Avenue. Dennis Richard Frazier, 53, of Anamosa was driving a 2016 Ford F250, also stopped at the stop sign, heading south. Frazier waited for Ehrisman to proceed through the stop sign before turning left onto 130th Street when another vehicle passed traveling west. That vehicle, a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder, was driven by Jayden Elizabeth Faille, 16, of Anamosa. Neither Ehrisman nor Frazier saw Faille when she hit Ehrisman on the passenger side. Faille then slid into Frazier who was sitting at the stop sign. Ehrisman and Frazier were uninjured. Faille was taken by Anamosa Area Ambulance to Jones Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. Ehrisman’s vehicle sustained approximately $1,000 in damages. Frazier’s vehicle did not sustain any damage. Faille’s vehicle sustained approximately $2,500 in damages. Ehrisman was cited for failure to yield right of way from stop sign.

      A car versus deer accident took place on Sept. 23 at 6:41 a.m. on Highway 151. William Allen Shoop, 54, of Stanwood, was driving a 2010 Chevy HHR when he encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Shoop’s vehicle sustained approximately $6,500 in damages.
