Sheriff's Report

     A car versus deer accident took place on Dec. 30 at 5:40 p.m. on Highway 136. Peggy Ann Martens, 69, of Onslow was driving a 2016 Subaru Forester when she encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Martens’ vehicle sustained approximately $15,000 in damages.

     A one-vehicle accident took place on Dec. 31 at 10:39 a.m. on Green Road. Derek Russell Tenley, 37, of Olin was driving a 2008 Ford F350 when he hit a patch of ice and went into the ditch, rolling the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Tenley’s vehicle sustained approximately $6,500 in damages. There was also $4,500 in damages reported to a fence and trees owned by Mark Allen.

     A one-vehicle accident took place on Dec. 30 at noon on Badger Road. Jennifer Torres, 40, of Delmar was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry LE when she went into the west ditch after fish tailing down the roadway. Torres was transported to the Jackson County Hospital by the Cascade Ambulance for her injuries. Her vehicle sustained approximately $5,000 in damages.
