Sheriff's Report

     A car vs. deer accident took place on Oct. 28 at 7:24 p.m. on County Road E-45. Eric Steven Klatt, 50, of Clarence, was driving a 1999 Chevy K1500 Silverado when he came into contact with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Klatt’s vehicle sustained approximately $1,500 in damages.                 

     A car vs. deer accident took place on Oct. 29 at 8:35 p.m. on Highway 151. Jude Alphonse Oberbroeckling, 40, of Cedar Rapids, was driving a 2012 Chevy Malibu when he came into contact with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Oberbroeckling’s vehicle sustained approximately $3,000 in damages.

     A car vs. deer accident took place on Oct. 30 at 5:48 a.m. on Highway 151. Blaine Patrick Noonan, 27, of Cascade, was driving a 2015 Subaru Legacy when he came into contact with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Noonan’s vehicle sustained approximately $10,000 in damages.

     A car vs. deer accident took place on Oct. 28 at 8:03 a.m. on Highway 151. Angela Lynn Miller, 49, of Dubuque, was driving a 2014 Ford Escape when she came into contact with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Miller’s vehicle sustained approximately $7,000 in damages.

     A car vs. deer accident took place on Oct. 31 at 11:51 p.m. on Highway 64. Robert Jerry Edwards, 48, of Maquoketa, was driving a 2014 Ford Focus when he came into contact with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Edwards’ vehicle sustained approximately $5,000 in damages.

     A car vs. deer accident took place on Nov. 1 at 6:19 a.m. on Highway 151. Terry Ray Louth, 60, of Birmingham, was driving a 2017 Freightliner when he came into contact with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Louth’s vehicle sustained approximately $2,500 in damages.

     A car vs. deer accident took place on Nov. 1 at 6:24 a.m. near County Road X-64 and County Road X-75. Angela Jo Baker, 45, of Oxford Junction, was driving a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer when she came into contact with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Baker’s vehicle sustained approximately $4,500 in damages.

     A one-vehicle accident took place on Oct. 26 at 3:33 a.m. on County Road E-29. The vehicle, later identified as belonging to Keith Aaron Pearson, 33, of Onslow, was located on its top in the ditch following a rollover. The driver was not located at the scene. According to the Sheriff’s Report, Pearson later contacted the Sheriff’s Office admitting to swerving on the roadway to avoid hitting a deer. No injuries were reported. Pearson caused approximately $500 in damages to a fence owned by the City of Wyoming. Pearson’s vehicle sustained approximately $10,000 in damages. He was later cited for failure to maintain control and no insurance.
