Sheriff's Report

     A one-vehicle accident took place on Feb. 11 at 7:49 a.m. on Highway 136. Trevor Michael Gudenkauf, 16, of Wyoming was driving a 2008 Chevy CBT southbound when he sneezed, causing the right tire to drop onto the shoulder. Gudenkauf’s vehicle entered the ditch, but did not roll. No injuries were reported. His vehicle sustained approximately $5,000 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on Feb. 12 at 8:15 p.m. on Highway 151. Reese Jared Meyer, 18, of Davenport was driving a 2004 Mazda RX8 when he struck a deer on the roadway. No injuries were reported. Meyer’s vehicle sustained approximately $9,000 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on Feb. 12 at 7:17 p.m. on Highway 151. Larry Donald Peterson, 76, of Dubuque was driving a 2011 Ford Focus when he struck a deer on the roadway. No injuries were reported. Peterson’s vehicle sustained approximately $4,000 in damages.

     A car versus deer accident took place on Feb. 11 at 5:39 a.m. at Highway 151 and 215^th Ave. Jeremiah Johnson Vallad, 27, of Cedar Rapids was driving a 2007 Dodge Dakota when he struck a deer on the roadway. No injuries were reported. Vallad’s vehicle sustained approximately $2,000 in damages.
