‘Bubble Blast’

   Have nothing to do on Saturday, June 30? Come on out to Jones County Central Park to have a bubble blast afternoon!

     Join Naturalist Intern, Weston Hoffmann, as you experiment with forming different bubble patterns and creating different bubble wands. All ages encouraged to attend! This event will take place in the Central Park Nature Center at 1 p.m.

‘Slithering Snakes’

program is set

   Come meet some live snakes!  Join the Jones County Naturalist on Saturday, July 7 at 1 p.m. in the Central Park Nature Center Basement to learn about “Iowa’s Amazing Snakes.”

     Find out why snakes stick out their tongues, how snakes shed their skin, and what poisonous snakes live in Iowa. Learn how snakes help us and what to do if you encounter a snake. You’ll even have the chance to touch and hold a live snake!
