Wartburg’s Kramer

is named Scholar

All-American

     Monticello High School graduate Darby Kramer was one of five Wartburg College women’s golf team members who were recently named Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Scholar All-Americans.

     Kramer, a sophomore, was one of 1,011 women’s collegiate golfers recognized nationally. To qualify, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average and have competed in a minimum of 12 rounds during the season.

     Her season highlights included a tie for 22^nd place at the Luther Sail Classic with a two-day total of 167, and a 171 at the Wartburg Fall Invite. She was also academic all-conference in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Scavenger Hunt

Challenge is set

     Have nothing planned on Saturday, July 14?

     Bring your family to Jones County Central Park to try your skills at the Family Nature Scavenger Hunt Challenge. Slather on the sunscreen, spray on some insect repellent, and lace on your hiking shoes. Those who successfully complete the family nature scavenger hunt checklist win a prize. All ages are encouraged to attend. This event will begin at the Central Park Nature Center at 1 p.m.
