Krouse named to

All-Iowa Honor

Dance Team

     Anisa Krouse, a member of the Monticello High School dance team, was chosen as part of the All-Iowa Honor Dance Team that will perform during the Iowa High School State Girls Basketball Tournament.

     Krouse will be part of a 50-dancer group that will perform a patriotic salute in a pregame performance before the Class 4A championship game March 2.

     The dancers auditioned at Ames Community Schools, and were chosen based on ability, attitude, dedication and leadership qualities.

 

ISU’s Paddock

is honored for

classroom work

     Peyton Paddock of Monticello was one of four Iowa State University student athletes honored for their excellence in the classroom during the fall semester.

     Paddock, a member of the Cyclones football team, is a redshirt junior placekicker. He saw action in Iowa State’s regular season finale against Drake. Paddock handled kickoff duties, averaging 54.8 yards on five kickoffs.

     He is an elementary education major with endorsements in reading and coaching. He plans to be a special education teacher, and wants to attend graduate school next fall.
