Edwards is

All-American

   Ciara Stanerson-Edwards, a Monticello High School graduate, was one of 23 collegiate rugby players named to the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Women’s Division I All-American team for the fall 2021 season.

     Stanerson-Edwards is a senior at the University of Northern Iowa, and plays the back-3 position for the Panthers’ club rugby team. She is one of three Panthers to make the All-American team.

     The UNI team reached the NCR Final Four last fall.

Boosters seek

event sponsors

   The Monticello Athletic Booster Club is seeking spring sports sponsors.

   Sponsorship is $100 per soccer game or track meet. Sponsors will receive:

   • A sign with your business name on it will be displayed at the booster club stand.

   • Your name will be announced multiple times during the game/meet.

   • Your event sponsorship will be shared on the booster club Facebook page.

   Soccer dates available are April 6, 21 and 24; and May 5 and 11. Track dates available are April 13 and 20.
