Rayzor Ray golf

tourney cancelled

The Raymond G. Schneider Living Endowment for Youth annual golf outing will not be held this year. The annual golf outing is held each year in memory of Raymond “Rayzor Ray” Schneiter, local businessman and life-long resident, who died in April 2012 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Proceeds from the annual golf outing and endowment fund go toward supporting Monticello area youth via scholarships. This year’s recipients are Carly Hayen, Benjamin Oswald and Gabrielle Steiner.

Individual and corporate gifts to the endowment are eligible for the Endow Iowa 25 percent tax credit, in addition to the federal deduction for charitable gifts. Gifts to the endowment may be sent directly to Ohnward Bank & Trust, attention Pat Recker, 307 S. Main St., Monticello, IA 52310.

Donors may also give online at the Jones County Community Foundation, https://www.dbqfoundation.org/donors-ways-give/give-now and selecting the Raymond Schneider Living Endowment for Youth from the pull-down menus of funds.

Organizers of the annual event are looking forward to a fun-packed day of golf and social activities in 2021.
