Stanwood man wins football contest

     Kevin Knapp of Stanwood had a perfect score this week to win the Express Football Contest. For his efforts, Knapp wins $15. Placing second was one of our sponsors/guest pickers. Jacob Thompson of Citizens State Bank missed two games and correctly guessed the tiebreaker score of 49 points. Thompson wins $10 for his entry.

     A few others also missed two games but were further off on their tiebreaker score. Those contestants include: Mary Oberfoell (46), Steve Kuehn (46), Marv Manternach (45), Sandy Achenbach (42), Phil Kauder 56) and Mike Jacobs (41). Guest picker Jay Stover of Fareway missed four games.

     Winners may pick up their checks at the Express office. This week’s contest had 54 entries.
