Sweepstakes award winners are announced

     Several Jones County 4-H exhibitors were Sweepstakes Award winners during the Great Jones County Fair.

     Exhibitors compete in several categories, and the Sweepstakes winner is the overall champion for that particular category.

     This year’s winners, their categories and exhibits:

     Ethan Orr, Science & Technology, behind the couch charging shelf.

     Maisie Paulsen, Food & Nutrition, “Get Your Rear in Gear” colon cancer awareness poster.

     Tate Jesenovec, Photography, chipmunk with nut photo.

     Holly Beringer, Horticulture, calla lilly.

     Dawson Ricklefs, Visual Arts, miniature farm display.

     Lydia Recker, Home Improvement, pallet dog bed.

     Cohen Kamaus, Environment & Sustainability, garden pond.

     Exhibits are selected during the fair, and plaques will be presented at the annual 4-H Awards in November.
