Ten MHS groups earn ‘I’ ratings at State

     Ten Monticello High School groups came home with Division I ratings from the State Large Group Speech Contest Saturday, Feb. 2 at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School.

     None of the Monticello groups were chosen for the All-State Large Group Festival.

     The following groups received a “I” rating at State contest:

     Pursuit (Short Film) – Jeff Carlson, Caleb Gillmore, Dalton Hampson , Alan Janssen, Ben Oswald, Chase Sternhagen, Levi Temple.

     WDOO (Radio Broadcasting) – Rylee, Bauer, Jaelynn Kraus, Nicole Porter.

     XMAS (Freshman Radio Broadcasting) – Sullivan Flynn, Karle Kramer.

     Cuttin’ Line (Ensemble Acting) – Hannah Ahlrichs, Brianna Burmahl, Makayla Coffey, Robby Holmes, Justin Martin.

     Movie Time (Choral Reading) – Sophia Ahlrichs, Amelia Anderson, Josie Brady, Kehde Campbell, Kendra Foust, Jordan Lorenzen, Megan Mahoney, Makenna Patterson, Brooklyn Stark, Presley Tapken, Micah Williams.

     Annie Get Your Gun – (Musical Theater)  Olivia Goodyear, Levi Temple.

     Chorus Line (Musical Theater) – Presley Tapken, Micah Williams.

     Kehde Campbell & Delaney Peitz (Group Improv).

     Dalton Hampson, Gary Pasker, Grahm Schneiter (Group Improv).

     Jeff Carlson & Payton Jaeger (Group Improv).

     Groups that received “II” ratings:

     Matthew Beal, Sagan DeWald, Carter Kurt  (Freshmen Group Improv).
