Tickets for Dan + Shay go on sale Oct. 11

It seems like the 2019 Great Jones County Fair just came to an end, but in a few days, tickets go on sale for the first concert of the 2020 GJCF. 

On Friday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m., you can start to purchase tickets for the Thursday, July 23, 2020 Dan + Shay show. Track SRO (standing room only) tickets are $73; amphitheater and seated hillside tickets are $63. 

Country music duo Dan + Shay were announced during this summer’s GJCF. Sentiment toward the duo has been going strong. 

Dan + Shay is comprised of musicians Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney. 

Dan + Shay’s debut single, “19 You + Me,” was released in October 2013. Their debut album, “Where It All Began,” was released in April 2014. 

To date, Dan + Shay have released three albums, the latest, “Dan + Shay,” released in June 2018. 

Their most recent hit, “Speechless,” spent four weeks at No. 1 in country radio, and seven weeks on Billboard’s country music charts. “Speechless” has been named platinum-certified. “Tequila” topped both the Billboard Top Country Album and the Country Airplay charts. This marks the first time since 2009 that a duo or group topped both charts simultaneously. “Tequila” was named double platinum-certified. 

Both songs are two of the five most-streamed country songs of 2018. 

The duo has been nominated for numerous music awards, and won 10 since they got their start just six years ago. Some of their notable awards include: “Best Country Duo” at the 2019 Grammys, “Top Country Duo” at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, and three Academy of Country Music Awards. 

Dan + Shay are known as “hot new country” coming to the “hottest fair around.”
