The time has arrived

     Thursday evening, Dec. 1, from 6-8 pm members of the Monticello community, both newcomers and longtime residents, are invited to gather at the Citizens State Bank Youth Development Center at the fairgrounds to choose the projects and initiatives we feel are feasible, will have a positive impact on our community, and reflect the things we value most. Your input is expected, so make plans to be there!

     Many of you have participated at some stage in the process already. Some filled out surveys, some “liked” us on Facebook, some have attended meetings, and some have colored pictures and even worn temporary tattoos that said: “Iheartmonticello.” The Monticello Heart & Soul Core Team thanks you for all of that!

     Would you like to see some sort of walking or biking trails developed? How about an initiative to help make improvements to the buildings along First Street? Would you like to see more community celebrations, like block parties, or gatherings at the new Pocket Park? Maybe you’d like to see us welcome newcomers with a “Welcome Wagon.”

     Spend just a couple of hours with your friends and neighbors and help guide the future of Monticello!
