Train show thankful for local support

To the Editor,

     We wish to express our thanks to all those who attended our Annual Train Show and Swap Meet on Jan. 29. We had vendors come here from all over the four-state area. Many indicated that they had a very good day and said that they would be interested in returning for next year’s show. The Berndes Center is a very nice venue and the large concrete parking area on the north side of the building allowed for easy unloading and the set-up of their displays.

     Comments on the concessions were also very favorable. Thank you Tami (Bartram) for your hard work. We are glad you signed on for next year. Also a big thank-you to Clyde Zedic for his invaluable assistance in distributing show flyers.

     It was exciting to see all the people who turned out for the show. It certainly exceeded our expectations for a first show. If the weather cooperates as it did this year, we see no reason why next year’s show cannot be even better. The Second Annual Monticello Train Show and Swap Meet will be on Jan. 28, 2018. Hope to see you there.
