TRC meets occupy Eagles

MIDLAND RECAP

Girls track

     Midland scored 33 points and finished in a tie for 12th place at the Tri-Rivers Conference Girls Track and Field Meet May 2 at Edgewood-Colesburg.

     Drew Jensen won a conference championship in the 400-meter dash, winning with a time of 1 minute, 1.79 seconds.

     The Eagles were also second in the 4x400 relay.

     Midland was fourth in the sprint medley relay.

 

Boys track

     Midland totaled 18 points at the Tri-Rivers Conference Boys Track and Field Meet, finishing 12th place overall May 2 at Edgewood-Colesburg.

     Luke Lasack accounted for 15 of those points, winning the shot put with a throw of 46-foot-4, and finishing fourth in the discus at 129-4.

     Trenton Rickles was eighth in the 1,600-meter run. The Eagles were also eighth in both the 4x100 and sprint medley relay events.

    

Golf

     Midland shot 365 to finish second among six teams at the Tri-Rivers Conference East Division Tournament April 29 at Little Bear in Wyoming.

     Easton Valley won the team title with a score of 352. Behind Midland in third was Lisbon with a 384.

     The Eagles had three finishers in the top 10: Damon Huston was fifth with an 89, Carter Mohr shot 90 to finish seventh, and Carsen Rupp was 10th with a 92. Sebastian Kreel had a 94, Peyton Rupp totaled 95, and Sawyer Hansen had a 97.
