Tri-Rivers Conference lists winter guidelines
The Tri-Rivers Conference, which includes Express-area coverage schools Maquoketa Valley and Midland, has announced its list of restrictions and guidelines for winter activities.
They are as follows:
General restrictions
• Six feet social distancing (between non-household groups).
• All spectators over the age of 2 must wear a mask.
• Gaiters and shields are not acceptable. Spectators must properly wear a mask which covers their mouth and nose.
Spectator restrictions
• Two spectators are allowed admission for each athlete.
• Two admission vouchers will be given to each athlete to be given to whomever they choose. This voucher must be shown at the entrance to gain admittance to the event.
• Also, a roster of athletes and all other approved personnel (managers, filmers, supervisors, clock operators, bus drivers, etc.) will be at the entrance. Those on that roster will not need a voucher for admittance. If you are not on that list, you will not gain admittance to the event without an admission voucher from a player.
• Spectators must clear the facility after each game.
• Spectators must sit on your school’s respective side of the gym.
• Student sections are not allowed.
Concessions
Concessions will vary from school to school. Midland will be having a concession stand, and Maquoketa Valley will not.
Pep bands, dance,
cheerleading
• Participation by these groups is at the discretion of the home team.
• In general, schools are encouraged to limit the number of people in the gym.
• Cheerleaders will not travel to other schools.
