Abe Tubbs

Abram Tubbs, of Ohnward Bancshares, has been selected as one of the 2019-20 Iowa Bankers Association board of directors.

Tubbs recently was elected to the board during the IBA’s annual convention.

“It is a great honor to be elected to the board of directors,” Tubbs said. “This is a great opportunity to not only be a part of this organization, but also surround myself with great leaders in the Iowa banking industry.”

The Iowa Bankers Association board of directors is responsible for setting policy and overseeing the general operation of the IBA.

Tubbs serves as chairman and CEO of Ohnward Bank & Trust, president and CFO at First Central State Bank, and president of the parent holding company Ohnward Bancshares, Inc. He also has served two terms as a director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, with his second term ending in 2019.
