Veterans invited to Jones Co. VA picnic, open house

     Jones County Veterans Affairs is hosting their annual open house and picnic event on Tuesday, Aug. 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. The event will be held inside the big pavilion at Central Park. All veterans are welcome to attend.

     Special speakers invited include:

     • Iowa City VA Medical Center

     • VA Mobile Vet Center

     • Jones County services organizations

     • Project Healing Waters

     Food for the picnic is donated by the Jones County Cattlemen and Jones County Pork Producers.
