Wear blue April 8 for Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Jones County Family Council (JCFC) is recognizing Thursday, April 8 as “Blue Out Day” in Jones County. (The color blue is a symbol of awareness for child abuse prevention.)

Those who wear blue on April 8 are asked to share pictures of themselves by emailing them to Heather Weers at jonescountycppc@gmail.com or posting them to the Jones County Community Partners for Protecting Children Facebook page.

You can also donate to the JCFC’s efforts in preventing child abuse. Donations can be sent to JCFC, P.O. Box 472, Anamosa, IA 52205. The Jones County Family Council is a 502(c)3.
