What about us?

To the Editor,

   I got a letter from Feeding America.

   We on the streets would like food, too! What about us? Did you forget us?

   I’m a friend, I hope. But I also am low in cash. I live very low on the radar. I live within my means. So SHOULD YOU!!

   Get a second part-time job if you can if you have children. Ask another family that is in the same predicament if maybe for six months you’ll take care of their kids, then the next six months they’ll take your kids. No money is exchanged.

   Maybe find some food that you can utilize and get condensed soup that’s nutritious and you can add water, maybe a half cup or a little more to stretch it further and if the kids can eat peanut butter with apple wedges.

   I know it sounds awful, but it’s delicious.

   Just saying.

   Read or ignore. I don’t care.

   God is looking down.

   I’m not broke!
