Wildcats open season at TRC Indoor

     Maquoketa Valley scored 82 points and finished second in the Tri-Rivers Conference Boys Track and Field Indoor Meet Friday, March 17 at Cornell College in Mount Vernon.

     Lisbon won the meet with 130 points, and North-Linn was third with 62.

     Kyle Wilson won the 800-meter run for the Wildcats, with a time of 2:08.61.

     Zak Harbach placed second in three events: the 55-meter dash in 7.02 seconds, the 200 in 24.76, and the long jump with a distance of 19-foot-9; Brody Sevart finished second in the shot put with a throw of 43-2.5; and teammate Tyson Tucker was fourth. The Wildcats were also second in the 1,600 medley relay.

     In third was Colin Wendt in the 60 hurdles, 10.10.
