Kelly Winter led the Wildcats with a score of 108. Kelsey Ries shot 112, Chloe Roling carded 116, Faith Hunt had 117, Megan McNamara totaled 123, and Maddie Lahr had 135.

“Overall I was happy with how the girls performed,” Maquoketa Valley coach Tim Andrews said. “Our goal was to move on as a team to the regional final at Jesup. We fell a little short of that, but did pick up a lot of positives.

“Some of the girls fought through some adversity early in the day, and golfed much better on the back nine. All the girls that scored for us today were sophomores, so there is a lot to be optimistic about. Placing third at conference and fourth at regionals is something to be proud of with such a young group.”
