Zirkelbach stands up for what is right

To the Editor,

     With the Primary Election just a few days away, it is time to make your decision about who you are going to support for the Jones County Board of Supervisors. I am supporting Jon Zirkelbach for Jones County Supervisor and I am asking you to support him as well.

     I served with Jon on the Jones County Farm Bureau board of directors for several years and found him to be a good, effective leader. Even though we found ourselves on different sides of an issue from time to time, he was always willing to have an open and honest discussion of all viewpoints.

     Jon is a very good listener and will always take the time to hear your concerns.

     Another attribute that Jon has is his ability to think long term. It seems all too often that elected officials are only concerned with the here and now, and what it takes to get re-elected, while ignoring the long-term implications of their decisions. I am happy to support someone who has the political courage to stand up for what he thinks is right.

     I know Jon is very passionate about our local government and will do his very best to represent us on the Jones County Board of Supervisors. I am asking you to vote for Jon Zirkelbach for Jones County Supervisor in the Primary Election on June 5.
