Preston Ries of Monticello, shown in a game against Dyersville Beckman this past season, was voted to the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association (IPSWA) All-State Boys Basketball Team, making the Class 2A first team. Ries, a senior headed to the University of Iowa on a football scholarship, finished third in all of 2A in points per game with 26.4.
