Lucretia Ann Ladehoff, 82, formerly of Monticello went home to the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Okla. after a short illness. Lucretia was born March 22, 1930 at the family farm in Cass Township, Jones County Iowa to Lester T. and Edith Clough Fairbanks. She attended Cass #1 grade school and graduated from Monticello High School in 1948. She married Paul Ladehoff at the Little Brown Church in Nashua on June 21, 1949. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Lucretia worked as City Clerk in Monticello for many years. After she and Paul retired, they enjoyed traveling and spending time together.

She is survived by three children, Linda (Gerald) Cassidy, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mary Lou Fall, Monticello and Steven Ladehoff, Choctaw, Okla.. Grandchildren Dawn Smith, Oklahoma City, Okla., Cindy (Brian) Harding, Oklahoma City, Okla.. PFC David (Courtney) Mitchell, Iowa City, Echo (Staff Sgt Greg) Holman, Fountain, Co., Syerra Ladehoff, Choctaw, Okla. and great-granddaughter Maci Ladehoff, Fountain, Co. Also brother Donald C. Fairbanks and Joyce (Eugene) Robison of Anamosa, and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, stepmother Elsie Clark, brother Willis and sisters-in-law Berniece and Frances Fairbanks, son-in-law Larry Smith, brother and sisters-in-law Dale and Virginia Ladehoff, Rudy and Evelyn Oltmann.

Per Lucretia’s request, her body was donated to Oklahoma University School of Medicine. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
