Marie A. Foley, 81, of Monticello died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade.
Services for Marie were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello. Relatives and friends began to gather at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Al Polito officiated. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Monticello at a later date.
Marie was born March 5, 1931, in Indiana Harbor, Ind., the daughter of Charles and Frances (McGuire) Thompson. She graduated from Bloom Township High School, Chicago Heights, Ill., with the class of 1949. On Dec. 25, 1950, she was united in marriage to William A. Foley, Jr. at the First Presbyterian Church, Chicago Heights, Ill.
Marie lived in Chicago Heights, Ill., until she retired and moved to Monticello, in 1992. For many years, Marie worked at the Foley Travel Bureau as a travel agent.
She is survived by her husband, William; two children: Susan O’Rourke of Monticello and William (Pam) Foley of Hopkinton; and a grandson, William Foley of Beverly Hills, Calif.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Mark O’Rourke; two brothers: Carl Thompson and Robert Thompson; three sisters: Helen Trenary, Florence Ziebell, and Jessie Burtzloff.
