Summer Reading comes to an end

Alyssa Wickman won a tent, lantern and camping chairs as a grand prize winner of the Summer Reading Program. Also pictured is Penny Schmit, Summer Reading coordinator.

 

The three grand prize winners of the Monticello Library’s Summer Reading Program were:

• Jack Lambert with the bike and helmet donated by Jones Regional Medical Center.

• Bekah Foster with two tickets to Sheryl Crow at the Great Jones County Fair and two gate passes donated by the Jones County Fair.

• Alyssa Wickman with a tent, lantern and two camping chairs donated by Fareway.

Other winners included:

• Lynn Supple with an assortment of gift certificates donated by the Friends of the Library.

• Jenny Wolfe with two tickets to TobyMac at the Great Jones County Fair and two gate passes donated by Above & Beyond Healthcare.

• Tate Long with two tickets to Adventureland donated by Fidelity Bank & Trust.

The following businesses helped to sponsor the Summer Reading Program with donations for prizes: Above & Beyond Healthcare, Casey’s General Store, The Cone Shoppe, Citizens State Bank, DuTrac CCU, Fareway, Fidelity Bank & Trust, the Great Jones County Fair, Java Jones, The Jitney, JRMC, Ohnward Bank & Trust, Pizza Ranch, Strittmatter Law Firm, The Dental Center and Wolken Dentistry.

The Friends of the Library helped sponsor Mad Science and The Blank Park Zoo.

Gus Hughes and Behrends Crushed Stone donated large river rock for the pet rock craft.
