Laurita A. Combs, 90, of Monticello and formerly of Harrison, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Silvercrest of Anamosa.
Friends called after 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 9, 2013, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello where a Christian funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Rev. Paul Baldwin officiated. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in Guttenberg.
Laurita was born May 4, 1923, in Springbrook, Iowa, the daughter of August and (Anna) Olsem.
She is survived by seven children, Curtis (Karen) Barnhart of Monticello, Gene Barnhart of Colville, Wash., Dennis Barnhart of Kalispell, Mont., Steven (Kim) Barnhart of Sioux Falls, S.D., Rita Oldfather Kehrle of Montana, Tammy (Sam) Oldfather Coffey of Omaha, Ark., and Kay (Matt) Oldfather Daigle of California; 16 grandchildren: Keith, Brock and Brian Barnhart, Alex Barnhart, Tammy Barnhart, Jenny Straton, Chad Drumbarger, Jennifer Warden, Dustin Kehrle, Amanda Ranstorm, Marie Marler, Dalton Coffey, Adam and Alexis Torres, Faith Warren, Hayden Daigle: 21 great grandchildren; one sister: Irene (Fred) Hoeger of Holy Cross, Iowa; one brother, Elmer (Wilma) Olsem of Colesburg; a sister-in –law, Virginia Olsem of Dyersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, a daughter, Betty Oldfather Imel, one sister, Mildred (Ted) Petsche, two brothers, Marvin (Betty) Olsem and Arnold (Kathleen) Olsem.
