Panthers celebrate season

FOOTBALL

An emotional Monticello football coach Jon Kyte said goodbye to the seniors of his first Panther football team, and congratulated the entire squad on its 6-4 season during the Monticello Football Banquet Thursday, Nov. 14 at Inn Back in Monticello.

The banquet included a meal catered by The Heights, a highlight film, presentation of certificates to junior varsity and varsity players, and acknowledgement of the All-District players from this year’s Panther team.

In all, 13 Panthers were named to the Class 2A, District 4 All-District team, and an additional 10 were named Academic All-District.

The list of MHS players honored:

ALL-DISTRICT

First team

Peyton Paddock, Tanner Felton, Daniel Pike, Cody Jamison, T.J. Decker, Spencer Williams.

Second team

Greg Kraus, Jarrett Easton, Isaac Holtz.

Honorable mention

Jayson Blunt, Trent Aitchison.

Golden Award

Trae Fuhrmeister, Craig Welter.

Top kicker

Peyton Paddock.

Co-coach of the Year

Jon Kyte.
