F&M Bank is pleased to announce the opening of its new Monticello location. F&M Bank is planning to open on Feb. 1, 2014, pending regulatory approval, in the former Bank of the West location in Monticello, which will be closing on Jan. 10, 2014. F&M Bank is based out of Manchester, Iowa, with offices in Cedar Rapids and Anamosa, and Lino Lakes and Vadnais Heights, Minn.
“We have identified a market which F&M is very much a part of,” stated Keith Kramer, executive vice president. “The relationships we have built within Jones County will be further enhanced by convenience and service. The existing personnel in the Monticello office will assist the new and existing clients with the proactive, prompt and personalized service that F&M is known for.”
The Monticello location will offer a full line of banking services, including: checking, savings and time deposits, personal and business loans, and a full array of trust services.
Lisa Diers, Anamosa branch manager said, “The concentration of F&M’s efforts will be small to medium sized businesses, industries, ag and professional – entities that can benefit from a high degree of service. I can see a need for these services through the relationships, which I have developed with the Jones County Young Professionals group, Ignite.
At this time, clients are welcome to open new accounts in Anamosa so they may continue banking in the near future at 111 E. First St. in Monticello.
F&M Board Member Dr. Gordon Goettsch stated, “Monticello is the community in which I was born and raised. It’s a real honor to bring F&M to my hometown, a growing bank with small town service and caring. I’m proud of F&M, and it’s a great fit for Monticello.”
Originally chartered in 1925, F&M remains a family-owned, community-oriented bank and has grown in excess of $350 million in assets.
“The success of F&M has come from building relationships, not pushing products. We’re pleased that we can provide our strength and stability to this new market. We think our ability to provide commercial banking services in a sound and prudent manner will assist with the local market’s growth. We will only succeed if our clients succeed,” said Michael W. Dunn, president.
In June of 1994, F&M entered the Cedar Rapids market and expanded with a second Cedar Rapids branch in 2002. Then in 2004, F&M branched into Anamosa. In December of 2010, F&M acquired two locations outside of Iowa – Lino Lakes and Vadnais, Minn.
Dunn stated, “Since we first opened our doors in 1925, we have established a strong reputation to provide outstanding service to our clients and have created a tradition of community support and involvement. With an exceptional banking team, and by maintaining an innovative approach to changing banking technology, F&M Bank is able to serve virtually any financial, investment and real estate need by providing prompt, personalized services and proactively assisting our clients in achieving their financial goals – making F&M ‘The Right Choice!’”
