A common saying in theater is: The show must go on! This relates to the fact that the performance is the key thing and that regardless of what goes wrong, the show must go on as planned. While this is true in the theater world, it can also be true in community development, especially regarding rural communities, which are sometimes seen as entering their final acts. How do they keep going with aging and shrinking populations, moves to more metro/urban areas, and the loss of businesses and community assets that have kept the community running for so long?
