Within a week’s time, the number of positive COVID cases throughout the Monticello Community School District increased by 11 (two to 13 cases). Those experiencing COVID-like symptoms also increased by 13 (seven to 20 people).
“The COVID numbers are still on the rise this week,” commented Superintendent Brian Jaeger. “We will continue to monitor going forward, and I would remind everyone to be cautious and continue to use universal precautions, such as hand washing, sneezing into your elbow, not sharing drinks or food, social distance when possible, etc.”
