      Roger M. Boffeli, 62, of Runnels, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 with family by his side at his home, after an extended illness. Per Roger’s wishes no services will be held at this time.

      Donald A. Katuin, 83, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at Monticello Nursing & Rehabilitation Campus, in Monticello.

    Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Monticello, with services immediately following. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.

Elaine Ann (Harms) Buol Feb. 4, 1933 – Feb. 11, 2025

      Elaine Ann (Harms) Buol, 92, passed away peacefully, family by her side, on Feb. 11, 2025, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello. 

Jeff Guy Nov. 19, 1956 –Feb. 12, 2025

      Jeff Guy, 68, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.

    A visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 17 from 4 until 7 p.m. at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Please leave a message on Jeff's page for the family at Goettschonline.com.

      Betty E. Andresen, 79, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at her home.

    A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Oxford Junction Legionnaire. A Celebration Service will take place at 1 p.m. on the same day at the Oxford Junction Legionnaire. The burial will occur at a later date at Mayflower Cemetery. Dawson Funeral Services of Oxford Junction is responsible for caring for her family.

      Ricky Regene Ellison, 57, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. Celebration of life services were held at North Point in Cedar Rapids on Feb. 8, 2025, at 3 p.m.

    Ricky was born on Jan. 29, 1967, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Richard and Linda (Joslin) Ellison. He attended Monticello High School. Rick entered the United States Marine Corps.

      Kenneth Robert Harms, 91, of Onslow passed away on Jan. 30, 2025, at the Clarence Nursing Home. 

    A Celebration of Life will be held at the Onslow Community Room from 12 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025. His private graveside service will take place at the Wyoming Cemetery. Dawson Funeral Services is caring for his family.

Ruth Ann Kuntz Iben Nov. 3, 1934 – Jan. 27, 2025

    Our beloved Ruth Ann Kuntz Iben passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Jan. 27, 2025, following a brief hospitalization. She left this world much like she lived her life: with grace, strength, and just a little bit of sparkle.

    Ruth Ann was born on Nov. 3, 1934, in Monticello, Iowa, during the era when Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth were making headlines. Perhaps her parents were baseball fans, or maybe it was just fate that she shared her name with such legends—either way, Ruth Ann certainly made her own mark in the world.
