Brenda Hanken cares about the entire community

To the Editor,

   Brenda Hanken is the only incumbent of the six city council members running for re-election who I feel deserves your vote.

   For the last four years, she has single-handedly worked to keep spending of taxpayer dollars under control. Since the last election, she voiced encouragement to the others on the city council to make decisions on the sewer plant so the city would not find itself in the predicament it is now hoping for a bid that is affordable. She was the only nay vote for increasing the tax levy rate during the April 3 meeting.

   I have known Brenda for many years, and I know Brenda cares about the needs of the community and will listen to you.

   I encourage you to give Brenda Hanken your vote on Nov. 7.
