Capron, Oswald are among Panther Prowl overall winners

   Mindy Capron and Alex Oswald, both of Monticello, were among the overall winners in the Panther Prowl races Aug. 17 in Monticello.

   Capron was the overall female winner in the 10-kilometer race, posting a time of 50:18.76.

   Oswald was the overall male winner in the 5K, in 21:18.55; edging Cole Burrack of Monticello by just under five seconds.

   Deanna Newhouse of Cedar Rapids was both the female winner and overall winner of the 5K, in 18:57.00. Tyler Deutmeyer of Dyersville was the male winner in the 10K, in 40:04.00.

   There were 15 finishers in the 10K race, and 72 in the 5K.

   BE Strong Fitness and Yoga of Monticello hosted the event, with all proceeds to benefit local nonprofit organizations through the Greater Monticello Foundation.
