Chuck Luce Feb. 8, 1934 – March 2, 2021

      Chuck Luce, 87, of Scotch Grove, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 201 peacefully at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello.

      He was born Feb. 8, 1934 in Zion, Ill., son of Julius (Red) and Edith Luce. He graduated from the University of Dubuque with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He was united in marriage on Aug. 22, 1954 to Vaneta Ann Hughes at the Scotch Grove Presbyterian Church in Scotch Grove.

      He is survived by his wife, Vaneta Luce, his children Cheryl Knight, Robert Luce and Karen Sicard, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and his sister Patricia LaBelle. He was preceded in death by his parents.

      Chuck loved his family, his apple orchard, apple pie and his dog Crackers. He loved working with wood making bird houses and projects for the family. His love and pride for his family was our great strength.
