Conservation Woman of the Year

Lillie Behringer-Crock of Cascade was selected for the Conservation Woman of the Year Award by the Jones Soil and Water Conservation Commissioners. Beringer is a third-generation farmer who operated a 1,500-head feedlot, along with cropland that includes corn, soybeans and alfalfa. She created an online business to market her beef, and ships individual beef cuts to all 50 states, and supplies beef to area restaurants and schools.
