Lubben Vineyards and Wines in Anamosa hosted a successful fundraiser in support of the Anamosa and Monticello Fire Departments, raising $4,000 to be split between the two departments. The event took place during the winery’s annual Harvest Party, featuring community-oriented activities and festive autumn décor.

As part of the celebration, both fire departments engaged in a spirited pumpkin-decorating contest, allowing attendees to vote for the favorite creation. The winning department will receive a special traveling trophy symbolizing fire service and community support, to be passed back and forth each year in recognition of their friendly rivalry and dedication.

The fundraiser was especially meaningful to Lubben Vineyards and Wines, as Dan Lubben, co-owner and longtime Cedar Rapids firefighter, had dedicated his career to fire service.

“We’re honored to support these local heroes and look forward to continuing our commitment to the community,” Lubben shared.
